KanderBooks Practice OS Terms of Use
Effective: August 22, 2026
These Terms govern access to and use of KanderBooks Practice OS, including its Office and Client portals and connected scheduling, accounting, financial, document, communication, and analysis features. The applicable KanderBooks service agreement, engagement letter, order, or lease terms may impose additional requirements. If those signed terms conflict with these Terms, the signed terms control for that engagement.
Authorized business use
Practice OS is provided for authorized business, bookkeeping, accounting-support, scheduling, document, communication, and related client-service activities. Each user must provide accurate information, use only an identity assigned to that user, protect authentication factors, and promptly report suspected unauthorized access.
Roles, client boundaries, and permissions
Access is determined by role, client assignment, and explicit permissions. Users may access only the organizations, clients, records, documents, integrations, and administrative functions they are authorized to use.
Connected services
A user who connects Google Calendar, QuickBooks, Plaid, ConnectWise, Stripe, or another provider represents that the user is authorized to grant access for the relevant account or business. Connected services remain subject to their own terms, availability, permissions, and fees. A user may disconnect a supported provider through Practice OS, although previously synchronized business records may remain when needed for the engagement, audit trail, or legal retention.
Appointments and Google Meet
When an eligible user connects Google Calendar, Practice OS may create, update, or remove calendar events owned by that user. Eligible video appointments may include a Google Meet link. Users are responsible for reviewing attendees, time, time zone, confidentiality, recording requirements, and any information included in an invitation before relying on it.
Financial, tax, payroll, and AI-assisted output
Practice OS can organize information and prepare draft bookkeeping, accounting, payroll, tax-readiness, reconciliation, trader-tax, and analytical work for authorized review. Automated or AI-assisted output is not a signed audit opinion, legal advice, investment advice, a tax filing, a determination of trader tax status or tax-election validity, or a substitute for required professional judgment.
Availability and changes
We work to maintain a secure and reliable service, but uninterrupted availability is not guaranteed. Maintenance, third-party outages, provider changes, security events, or legal requirements may affect features. We may update Practice OS and these Terms; material changes will be communicated when required.
