Best for: any customer opening a KanderBooks workbook for the first time.

Important: This guide covers general workbook setup. Individual templates may have their own instructions, formulas, tabs, and protected areas.

Start with these first steps

  • Download the file to your computer rather than editing from a browser preview.
  • Save a blank backup copy before adding your information.
  • Create a working copy with the year, month, business name, or household name in the file name.
  • Open the instructions, README, or setup tab first.
  • Enter data only in input areas unless the template instructions say otherwise.
  • Save frequently and keep final copies in an organized folder.

Recommended file naming

Use file names that make sense six months from now. Include the year, month if needed, template purpose, and business or household name.
